During a cascade, throw on ball (say the left), straight up
on the left side. The right hand throws its ball as usual, and reaches over
the pattern and brings the ball over to the right. It throws it as normal, and
the cascade is resumed.

It can of course be done on both sides, and on both sides, each time.
